"Don't Drink the Water"

"Don't Drink the Water"

US theatre class production of the hilarious Woody Allen comedy, "Don't Drink the Water," will be performed Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m, May 1.  It is a delightfully laugh-out-loud story about tourists, the Hollander family from New Jersey, who have to seek asylum in the American Embassy in a eastern European country.  The embassy is run by bumbling young Axel Magee, Andrew Dreelin.  The Hollanders (Bill Flowers, Elizabeth Sayers, and Meg Williams) are hiding from the Communist police led by the vicious Krojack, played by Matt Hunter.  Hilarity ensues when the Sultan of Bashir (Benton Bruce) and his wife (Gillian Dente) come to a party at the embassy. Adding to the humor is Dudley Graham as Father Drobney, the magic-performing priest who has been hiding upstairs for six years, and Valerie Guilbault as the temperamental French chef. Rounding out the cast are Alex Ridley as Ambassador Magee; Lizzie Greenblatt as his assistant, Ms. Kilroy; Nicolette Kelto as Ms. Burns, embassy assistant; and Ben Holt and Redding Byrd as Count Yanis Kasnar and the Countess Wilhamena Bordoni.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door that evening and in the school offices on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.
