Brookstone School

ISCA Program

Brookstone Middle School students will once again have the opportunity to take part in theIndependent School Cultural Alliance Program (ISCA) program based in England during the summer of 2014! Brookstone students have been a part of the ISCA program since 1981 and we continue to return each summer to enjoy and learn from this amazing experience!

As a native of England I am very excited to be the chaperone for students who will attend the program this upcoming summer. I spent a week with our students at the ISCA program this past summer and I was really impressed at the cultural immersion and organization of the program for the students. So many iconic English sights are visited and history taught I actually learnt more about my own country in just that one week! A truly unique experience the students are based at the prestigious Charterhouse School ( in beautiful Surrey, located 44 miles from the center of London with students from independent schools from all over the United States as well as International students.  A great location to attend a Shakespeare play in the fantastic Globe Theatre, Stonehenge; Stratford upon Avon; the Roman Baths in Bath, Westminster Abbey, Harry Potter Studios and so much more!

When students are not travelling around England then the 200-acre campus offers students a chance to relax and have the opportunity to play British and American sports such as cricket, rugby and field hockey as well as basketball, soccer, swimming, tennis, golf, and ultimate Frisbee.

Please visit ISCA's website, to learn more about the program!

Luke Liddle, ISCA faculty member will be on campus Thursday, September 19th and Friday, September 20th.  Please join us for refreshments and a parent presentation in the Turner Center on Friday, September 20th from 8:00 - 8:45am.  Luke will also meet with all of the middle school students during their assembly time.

Please let me know if you would like to attend our parent meeting or if you would like to receive further information about the ISCA program.  You can contact me at or direct at (706) 243 3615.

We hope you will consider this opportunity for your students and come to meet Luke and myself on Friday morning.
