Brookstone School

Beyond the Classroom

The Brookstone experience is enriched by extracurricular activities designed to give students a chance to grow and mature out of the classroom setting, therefore helping us produce leaders. We challenge each student to develop to their highest potential, to discover their creative talents and to make a meaningful contribution to the community.

In support of our emphasis on service and leadership, middle school students have the opportunity to connect with the students of our local Partner-in-Education, Fox Elementary School, throughout the year.  Brookstone students travel to Fox Elementary once each semester to serve as a math or reading buddy with a Fox student. Also, the Middle School Day of Service allows Brookstone students to serve as hosts for all of the Fox Elementary students during Fox Fun Day, an annual event held on the Brookstone campus each April.  Other school-wide service opportunities allow our students to gain a deeper understanding of their local and global communities and how their actions can positively impact the lives of many. These opportunities will re-enforce a deeper understanding of the school's mission and purpose.

Primary focus is given to:
•Community Service
•Self-Awareness and Reflection
•Leadership Development
•Environmental Awareness

Additionally, we provide opportunities to the Brookstone family, with continuing education opportunities and nationally known speakers for faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and the general public.
